SERIES 1
The Neutral Mask
Based on the Teachings of Jacques Lecoq
Taught by Jason Bohon, Artistic Director
Jason Bohon leads a physical theatre workshop at the SOUTH DAKOTA THEATRE FESTIVAL.
Based on the pedagogy of Jacques Lecoq, the Neutral Mask explores the poetic space in every performer. In addition to creating a state of calm and curiosity, it also helps discover habitual patterns in the most experienced performers. Simple principles of improvisation explore the drama before the spoken word. This workshop will help performers find a physical expressiveness and dynamic presence through breath, movement, and physicality. All levels of experience are welcome.
